Each Getxent Tube is loaded with real MVOC mold odor - the microbial volatile organic compounds produced by active mold metabolism. Source material is DSMZ-authenticated, the same internationally recognized reference cultures used across the Precision Explosives mold detection line. The POCR medium captures the odor during infusion and releases it slowly and consistently for up to one year.
 
Tube vs. Odor Print - Which Format for Which Job
The Mold Odor Print (bone format) is the higher-concentration source - 20g equivalent for regular, 10g for mini - and the choice for foundation imprinting and strong-source training. The Getxent Tube is the compact format designed to fit anywhere an Odor Print won't. Tube hides. Vehicle panels. Wall cavities. TADD-based delivery setups. Problems where you want a small, concealable source without sacrificing real odor quality.
 
Both formats carry real MVOC odor from the same DSMZ-authenticated source material. The odor picture is the same.

All five mold species in the Precision Explosives mold detection line are available in tube format.
 
- Stachybotrys chartarum (DSM 12880): the "black mold" priority target for water damage, post-flood inspection, and litigation-adjacent work
- Aspergillus fumigatus (DSM 819): HVAC systems, damp building materials, indoor air quality assessments
- Penicillium chrysogenum (DSM 23825): among the most frequently recovered species from water-damaged structures
- Cladosporium sphaerospermum (DSM 104846): prevalent in condensation zones, window frames, and cooling coil systems
- Alternaria alternata (DSM 1102): common early-stage indicator mold, frequent in damp kitchens, bathrooms, and around window seals

Storage and Service Life
Store in the original Mylar bag between sessions. The medium is stable - if the tube picks up surface contamination during training, wipe clean with a damp cloth.
